Our Story

By women for women

In 2014 Cecile met Rajvanti on a beach in Thailand after a diving course. They talked for hours about their lives, challenges and dreams. Two women from other continents, different and yet so much alike. Fate kept bringing them together, both in India and in the Netherlands.

They continued learning about each others lives. How it is to be a mom as well as an entrepreneur in different countries. As their friendship grew, so did the ambition to join forces, put their talents together and create (something together).

Sarih is born

A conscious fashion brand making one of a kind items of vintage upcycled Sari’s previously owned by Indian women. The traditional Sari is a symbol of individual expression and femininity for Indian women.

“A Sari for me is my identity of being Indian. It’s a memory of generations of women. Draping a Sari is not just dressing our bodies, but also our emotions. It bestows confidence and dignity on its wearer. A Sari is sensual, graceful, a symbol of pride” - Rajvanti

With SARIH and the female legacy the products hold, want want to empower women to embrace their femininity, create their own unique story and support each other on this journey.
